Brussels filmfest to host Iranian short ‘On Hire’

Iranian short film ‘On Hire’ has been selected to compete at the 42nd edition of the Brussels Independent Film Festival (BIFF) in Belgium.

‘On Hire’, directed by Taimaz Rezvani, is about a woman called Taraneh who hires babies and toddlers from families to provide movie production groups with tiny performers.

The short’s running time is 00:10:05 and the cast includes Mahin Sadri, Abouzar Saedi, Zahra Aqapour, Saman Pargal, Khatereh Mirzaee, and Raha Ebrat.

Brussels Independent Film Festival is an annual, weeklong event that highlights independent and experimental cinematic talent.

According to the official website of BIFF, “the festival creates a space for unique voices and its goal is to create a warm, open atmosphere in which filmmakers, fans, critics, and producers can watch the films of emerging talents, explore new cinematic techniques and styles, and award cinematic excellence”.

The event will be held on February 6-19, 2022.
